The Sony/America Puppet Show

So Sony supposedly got “hacked” by North Korea…or Russia…or China…or some combination of the three. That’s the story, anyway.

Confidential emails were subsequently leaked, relationships were compromised, and, ultimately, the opportunity for an apparently horrifyingly unfunny “comedy” (The Interview) to flop in a conventional manner was scuttled when it was pulled from conventional release as per demands of “the hackers”.

Now we’re all s’posed to be mad about the commie assault on the freedom to craft, pitch, and profit from godless, profanity-laced cultural bilge, or something like that. And when we’re later told that the North Korean Internet (all three PCs) went down after some sort of retaliatory techno-strike, we’re prodded to giggle, cheer, and wave our flags.

Yay, ‘Merica!

Take that, you freedom-hating, liberty-trashing commies!

[insert “U! S! A!” chant here]

You just don’t mess with our movies (or our corporate masters’ privacy)!

We’re the USA.

The land of the free and the home of the brave!

You know, America…where each and every citizen’s each and every email, phone call, and Internet visit is tracked and followed by our freedom-loving, freedom-protecting government.

America…where the State has now “educated” the vast majority of our children for generations.

America…where we dutifully pledge (and sing) our allegiance to an indivisible State…all in the name of pride, liberty and freedom, of course.

Yeah, when it comes to the freedom and privacy of our corporate masters, we don’t play around. We’re ready and willing to proudly and loudly do anything to defend the freedom, liberty, power, and privacy of our elite Corporate and State masters…including, of course, the surrender of our own individual freedoms, liberties, and privacy. After all, average individuals cannot be trusted with such things. Only the State and its owners are worthy of such powers. The rest of us are best off living as happy, dependent, devoted, and compliant drones…just as we’ve been programmed to be through generation after generation of American State- and Corporate controlled “education” and pop-culture.

There is great, tragic, and quite comedic irony in getting upset at North Korea, China, or Russia over the “hacking” of Sony’s privacy while at the same time we have little sense of the catastrophic consequences of allowing our beloved American State to violate each and every one of its citizen’s privacy on a routine basis on so many levels. (See: Privacy is for masters. Transparency is for slaves. Welcome to “the land of the free” and the home of the NSA.)

The American State and its vested Corporate owners are quite obviously great fans and defenders of their privacy. And they are just as obviously great despisers and destroyers of ours.

That is the reality in which we now live in America, and until the church leads the way in repentance and reformation to a God-honoring, Scripture-defined approach to all things, including government, politics, and economics, we and our children are doomed to fall more and more under the designed slavery of the Corporate/Fascist State now dawning in America. After generations of ongoing rebellion and open rejection of Christ as the essential core of political, governmental, and economic life, we are now beginning to experience the fruits of our Christ-dismissing labors.

America is in this place first and foremost because the one and only group of people with the one and only solution to this cultural rot have become apathetic, lazy, and traitorous to the Christ they claim with their lips. In abandoning the Gospel-fueled Great Commission of Christ the King, the professing Church in America has led us to this place of ever-increasing cultural darkness and death. Until and unless we boldly, clearly, and faithfully believe, proclaim, and apply Christ’s nature as the essential core in every realm of His creation, we – the church – will be most responsible for the even worse things that are coming soon to this land and its people.

So let us repent.

Let us believe.

Let us point and actively lead the way to true salvation.

Let’s go where CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and the countless slaves of both contrived/controlled “political parties” will never lead us to the one and only true supernaturally powerful solution to this dying civilization’s every problem. Let’s go to Christ our King. Let’s obey His loving commands. Let’s apply His nature through His Great Commission right here and now…while there is yet time…all by His grace and all for His glory.

Until and unless we do that, we will be just another generation of puppets used by the enemy to lead future generations further into darkness.

We are without excuse.
