Isn’t it awesome to live in the real world?

And by “real world” I do not mean the real world as the world and worldly like to imagine and portray it to be. I mean the real world as it is. Really.

More specifically, I mean the world – the creation – that is right now, has always been, and forever shall be bound and defined by the Nature of God as revealed in His Word.

That. Is. Reality.

When the world and worldly try to push off clear biblical truth as somehow, some way not really applicable in detail here and now in “the real world”, they are revealing themselves  – and their worldview – to be detached from and in denial of reality.

Reality is Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is reality.

All of it.

He is the binding, unshakable, unbreakable reality under which we all live by His grace right here and now.

Along these lines, I’d like to offer up a cool quote (from this article) by Gary DeMar that I found on the subject of the “real world” as it relates (but is not limited) to the subject of children’s education. This quote comes in response to one of the many excuses offered up by professing Christians who feed their children to the State for explicitly anti-Christian “education”:

“I want my child to be exposed to the ‘real’ world.”

What is the “real world”? The real world is where Christ dwells and where His Word is taught. Christianity is not unreal. If it is, then why not worship with pagans since their domain is the “real world.” Remember, Adam and Eve “fell” from what was normal, that is, from a world where they were in intimate fellowship with their Creator. A world without Christ is an insane and irrational world.

When we proclaim and apply the Gospel-fueled Great Commission, we are bringing the light of the living personification of reality into a world dominated by delusion and denial of that reality.

When we strive by the grace of God to know and apply His Nature as revealed in His Word to every realm of life – including law, politics, economics, education, art, language, math, history and science – we are bringing the life-enabling reality of Christ into these areas.

When we seek to build and cultivate Christ-centered families, businesses, economies and communities according to His will as revealed in His Word, we expand His Kingdom within His creation, all by His grace, for His glory, and to our eternal benefit.

This is the context in which we are meant to understand the earth and everything else in His creation.

This is the context in which we are meant to celebrate His grace on display as we take up His Gospel-fueled Great Commission and advance it into every realm of His creation.

So while the world and worldly cling to the fading illusion and delusional fantasy of “reality” apart from Christ as King in practice, in detail, and in every area of life; we reveal, proclaim and apply His binding Nature as the defining core in every time, place and realm of His creation.

Every part of life, culture, and civilization is even now being slowly and surely purged of darkness through the proclamation and application of the whole, undiluted, supernatural Gospel of Jesus Christ the King of creation (See: Behold, He makes all things new).

The LORD says to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.” ~ Psalm 110:1

But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. ~ Hebrews 10:12-13

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:18-20

If that isn’t cause to celebrate, nothing is.

Soli Deo gloria…and let’s roll!
