One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Genesis 1:1.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (ESV)
Normally this verse is focused on primarily for the profound revelation it provides with regard to God’s creative power. While in this sense it certainly is an amazing representation worthy of contemplation, my attraction to the verse comes at least as much due to its context in light of God’s omnipresence.
I take great comfort in knowing that God is still, as you read this post in an online blog, every bit as present in that moment of creation as he is in the moment of time that we call the present. He is just as much there as he is here.
Right now, He sees the initiation and formation of the cosmos. It’s as clear to Him as any other moment precisely because He is consciously present in all moments, times and ages, without limitation. He is unrestrained by time and suffers no loss of power, awareness or active sovereign control over any segment of what we would describe as history or future. Right now, he is perfectly and completely present in that first nanosecond that saw the very birth of time itself. Moreover, He is just as perfectly and completely present in every single moment of time that has come between that one and this.
His presence extends with equal totality to every moment that you and I will face in this life and beyond, and that is where I find great comfort and peace.
His promises are not in question. He is standing present at the point of their fulfillment even as I write and even as you read.
My God is God.

Good luck with your new blog site! We need more fire breathing Christians around this country. We have been too silent and passive and that is a changing. The silent majority and the sleeping giant are on a mission and we can never ever stop. May God bless us all.
Hello Jann and thank you so very much for the kind, encouraging words!
They mean a lot to me.
I hope that you and yours are having a wonderful weekend!
