Jesus Christ is the essential core of children’s education…or He is not.

There is no “middle ground” or third option where essential cores are concerned. Either they are essential and core, or they are not. Either Christ is the essential core of the pursuit of knowledge (also known as “education”) where the formation of young, impressionable minds and souls are concerned, or He is not. (For more on this vital subject, please read Deuteronomy 6 and the book of Proverbs.)

Most American Christians, including most American Christian pastors and evangelical leaders, believe that He is not.

They tend to view Him as something between an optional accessory and a lucky religious trinket where children’s education is concerned; something to be squeezed in around the edges if/when possible through things like church services, Sunday School, and saying grace before dinner.

That’s how they aim to offset the impact of the State-managed anti-Christian education system to which they subject their little boys and girls for eight hours a day, five days a week, nine months a year for 13 years of worldview training quite literally based upon the satanic theory of education first introduced to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Really.

Consider the following:

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made.

He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate . . .

~ Genesis 3:1-6 (bold emphasis added)

The idea is simple: Men, women, boys and girls can and should pursue knowledge apart from explicit connection and subjugation to the Word of God.

This satanic philosophy of education is the foundation of public schools.

And obviously so.

It’s not challenging to spot and confirm, once you simply take the time to stop and think about it. A second or two should do.

It’s not tricky to follow.

It’s not hard to see.

It’s plain, simple, obvious, and easy to track…unless you choose to ignore it, as most “evangelical Christian leaders” in America have chosen (and encouraged others) to do for generations now. (For more on this, please read Why is the beast of Socialism eating our children? Ask your pastor.)

But for all of the many things that can (and have) been written here and elsewhere on the subject of children’s education from a biblical perspective, the whole thing ultimately boils down to one simple, clear question: Is Jesus Christ the essential core of children’s education?

Either He is or He is not.

How we answer this question will determine whether we sacrifice our children to a system of “education” lifted directly from the serpent’s tongue in Genesis 3, or whether we will vigorously oppose it in accordance with the Gospel-fueled Great Commission, all by God’s grace, all for His glory, and all to our eternal benefit.

May God grace His people with the zeal and opportunity to faithfully proclaim, pursue, and apply His lordship over every realm of His creation…including children’s education.
