So according to a report published late last week, some “shocked” American parents are “furious” about their government run school’s plan to teach kids about stuff like “gender fluidity” and “the gender spectrum”.
To which one might be rightly compelled by concern and true love for these folks and their children to respond: What did you expect?!
I mean, c’mon now. Seriously. Who didn’t see this coming?
How is it even remotely possible to be even remotely “shocked” and “horrified” by such an approach as this being taken by a State-run children’s “education” system in 2015 ‘Merica?
This is exactly the sort of thing that this system was designed to do and exactly the sort of worldview that this system was designed to teach. This system was made to take our culture to a very specific, State-dominating destination, and the means by which it is going to get is there is through the progressive multigenerational programming of children’s minds. (See: Retarded by Design: The Mind Blowing Success of State-Controlled “Education”.)
The report, published by Fox News, included the following tidbits of info:
One of the nation’s largest public school systems is preparing to include gender identity to its classroom curriculum, including lessons on sexual fluidity and spectrum – the idea that there’s no such thing as 100 percent boys or 100 percent girls.
Fairfax County Public Schools released a report recommending changes to their family life curriculum for grades 7 through 12. The changes, which critics call radical gender ideology, will be formally introduced next week.
“The larger picture is this is really an attack on nature itself – the created order,” said Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council.
“Human beings are created male and female. But the current transgender ideology goes way beyond that. They’re telling us you can be both genders, you can be no gender, you can be a gender that you make up for yourself. And we’re supposed to affirm all of it.”
The plan calls for teaching seventh graders about transgenderism and tenth graders about the concept that sexuality is a broader spectrum — but it sure smells like unadulterated sex indoctrination.
Oh yeah, of course “it sure smells like unadulterated sex indoctrination”. Because it is. And it has been roughly forever.
This sort of indoctrination has been going on progressively now for generations at the hands of the State with the happy compliance of even most “conservative Christian” parents who now embrace the viability and even necessity of feeding their children to the State for such “unadulterated indoctrination”.
And why have said “Christian” parents become such happy supporters of State-run anti-Christian children’s indoctrination?
Well, there are many self-serving reasons, but one of the biggest is because their “pastors” and “priests” have overwhelmingly enabled and encouraged them to do so. (See: Why is the beast of Socialism eating our children? Ask your pastor.)
Possibly the most tragically ironic aspect of this whole mess is that many of the same “Christian leaders” who bemoan the current state of American culture are the very folks most responsible for leading it to its presently smoldering, stinking and perpetually sinking condition. (See: Judgment begins with the Church…not the Democrats.)
The likes of Franklin Graham have been “leading” Christians in this direction for years, boldly criticizing and rebuking those who’ve dared to apply Scripture and honor Christ as King in practice where the vital life- and culture-shaping realm of children’s education is concerned. With “conservative Christian leaders” like that, who needs “evil Progressives” like Clintons, Obamas and homosexuality advocates? (See: Have the “We will not obey!” Christian “leaders” repented of their role in bringing us to this hellish condition in the first place?)
Here’s one of the more important snippets from a bit later in the Fox News article:
“I must confess that I’m a bit old school on sex education. I believe that God created male and female. My reading of the Bible does not indicate there were dozens of other options.”
Here I’d posit that perhaps the “gender spectrum” isn’t anywhere close to being the creepiest aspect of this ongoing story in America. Oh, it’s creepy, to be sure. Pathetic and destructive, too. But it is nowhere near being the most unsettling bit of this unfolding drama.
That title has got to go to the “Christians” and “Christian leaders” who even after countless bajillions of well publicized stories like this over many years’ time now are still freely feeding (and/or encouraging the feeding of others’) children to the beast of Statism.
That. Is. Pathetic.
And it is the norm in even the professing Christian subculture of America.
When someone wonders aloud in this context about things like how they “believe that God created male and female” and that their “reading of the Bible does not indicate there were dozens of other [gender] options”, might we not best serve them, their children, our culture and (most importantly) the Lord by lovingly confronting and correcting them with questions like:
“Has this God of whom you spoke had anything to say on the subject of children’s education?”
“Is there anything in that there Bible you mentioned that maybe defines and limits the roles, responsibilities, and obligations of the Family, Church and State?”
(See also: Redeeming Children’s Education: Confronting Our Satanic Approach to the Pursuit of Knowledge.)
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:18-20
Maybe heeding the Gospel-fueled Great Commission call to make obedient disciples of all people in every area of life – including children’s education – really is the key to solving all of these “shocking” and “horrible” problems.
Just a thought…
