“Be all that you can be!”
“You can do anything that you set your mind to!”
“Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do!”
“Don’t let anything stand between you and your goals!”
These are the All-American (and Corporate-sponsored) emotion-driven battle cries of self-absorption that have come to define us. Our songs, movies, books, magazines, commercials, and especially our patriotism have all been drenched in these sentiments for so long that they are unconsciously accepted and uncritically embraced as inherently true. It’s been this way for years, decades, and generations now in the “land of the free” and the home of the NSA.
Which makes our present expressions of “shock” and “outrage” at the state of our culture all the more tragic, sad, and silly.
After generations of State and Corporate programming telling us that we can “be whatever we want to be”, we’re now surprised that Americans are striving to, um…be whatever they want to be?
Really?
After generations of State and Corporate propaganda and patriotism redefining freedom and liberty as being man-centered concepts open to interpretation and implementation by man as man sees fit, we’re now “stunned” that such man-handled liberty is leading us into ever-increasing insanity and chaos?
Huh?
“Caitlyn” Jenner should be anything but shocking to us.
Bruce-to”Caitlyn” is right in line with these All-American, Corporate-sponsored sentiments. (See: Bruce Jenner Transitions Into Republican Christian Woman.)
So is “Transgender kindergarten”, Lesbian-led elementary school, and the aforementioned Jenner as the new American standard for courage and bravery. (See: Corporate America Crowns Bruce Jenner King (and/or Queen) of Courage.)
The family has always been primary target of Statists. Destroying the family has always been critical to the advance of the Statist/Corporatist cause. To that end, destroying the head of the family – the biblical man – has been high on the hit list of those who would have the Corporate-owned State assume power and control over all aspects of life.
In this context, the present assault upon gender identity is far from “unbelievable” or “crazy”. It’s actually quite reasonable and predictable.
Family must be destroyed. Males cannot be allowed to become biblical men and females cannot be allowed to become biblical women, since biblical men and women compose the pillars of the biblical family and the biblical family represents a serious existential threat to Statism.
So the attacks come in wave after wave. They are relentless. They go on and on for generation after generation.
Which brings us to today’s consideration of “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, the 28 year old phenom who’s become a poster girl(?) for mixed martial arts (MMA), The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), pagan feminism, and gender distinction warfare all at once.
This past Saturday, Rousey continued her domination of the “women’s” wing of MMA by demolishing the latest highly regarded contender for her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, Bethe Correia, in 34 seconds. This title defense came on the heels of another just this past February, in which Rousey defeated another highly rated challenger, Cat Zingano, in just 14 seconds (which made that fight the shortest championship match in UFC history).
So obviously, Ronda Rousey is very good at what she does. She is very skilled. She is very tough. And she is very much of a role model for young females all across the increasingly State-controlled fruited plain.
This is no coincidence.
Just as Corporate-controlled Amerika rolls out the red carpet for “Caitlyn” Jenner as the new epitome of American courage and bravery, so too the promotion of Ronda Rousey as an All-American women’s icon tells us much about where the Pagan System of systems is leading us and why it is leading us there…if only we will open our eyes, use our minds, and “test all things” in light of the Word of God.

Be whatever you want to be?
Really, America?
What does God say about that?
What does His Word tell us about what we want apart from Him?
What does His Nature as revealed in His Word tell us about who we really are? (Hint: We’re born depraved, loving ourselves/sin, hating God/holiness, and committed to rejecting His rule over us, making us completely deserving of His holy wrath.)
What does Hos Word lovingly tell is that we must do in response to His Gospel command in order to truly live? (Hint: Repent and submit to His lordship in every realm of life.)
What does His Word reveal about the perfect, never-ending adventure to come for His people who do repent, believe, and submit to Him as King in practice, all by His grace, all for His glory, and all to their eternal benefit?
Jenner’s and Rousey’s time in the spotlight will come and go like a vapor, as will the beauty, strength, talent, popularity and counterfeit joy of all unrepentant unbelievers.
But the people of God will live – truly live – more and more vibrantly forever.
Let this inspire us to celebrate, defend, and apply the beautiful, unbreakable truths of Scripture where the purposeful wonder of gender identities, roles and purposes are concerned.
Let’s lovingly confront and correct the ongoing All-American assault upon truth, freedom, law, liberty, and gender.
Let’s reject the ongoing American Corporate-sponsored redefinition of these things, while restoring and resurrecting these God-given treasures by “taking them captive to Christ”, as we have been commanded and equipped to do. (See: 2 Corinthians 10:5.)
Let’s lead this culture in restoration and revival from man-centered death to Christ-centered life…one supernatural salvation and grace-fueled act of obedience at a time.
Let men be men and women be women who boldly, clearly, and unapologetically build their lives, families, and cultures upon truth, which can only be found in Christ:
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
